About Kelly
Kelly Savitri's thirst for learning about how to create
health & wholeness in the body has led her on an infinite path of
academic study as well as inner exploration. It has led her on a
personal pilgrimage to Thailand & India, as well as years of
experiential learning in Patty Townsend's Embodyoga Teacher Trainings at Yoga Center Amherst. She completed both the 200 hour and the 500 hour Embodyoga Training, and continues to assist in ongoing Embodyoga trainings.
She graduated from The Stillpoint Massage Therapy Program
at Greenfield Community College, earning a 4.0 GPA in the spring
semester. This program is an extensive and arduous 750-hour program
that exceeds the requirements for state licensure and is part of an
elite group of schools that are fully accredited by COMTA (the
Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation). |
She has continued to deepen & expand her knowledge by participating in additional trainings and workshops, such as Body Therapy Associates' Pre- and Perinatal Massage Training and Judith Lasater's advanced training in yoga therapeutics.
Kelly's approach to yoga and massage is a synthesis of science and
spirit. Practical knowledge of anatomy & physiology, traditional
techniques, and scientific understanding of muscles, bones, & joint
structure, is complimented with a deep spiritual reverence for the
intricacies of all that it means to be living in this human body. She
endeavors to apply the philosophy of yoga in all of her actions and
interactions, and maintains the curiosity of an open heart and an open
mind in her work. Most importantly, Kelly loves what she does. It is
her joy, and her honor, to share her skills & knowledge with you.
